Back in April 2007 I started a blog called “Blind Dates Worse Than Yours”. One day I got a call from a literary agent who had found my blog (thanks to his son) and he offered to represent me if I wanted to pursue a book deal. Here I am in my parents car having just talked to that agent on the phone. I have no idea why I documented that moment, but in hind sight I am glad I did.
Then in April 2008, I signed a book contact with Regal Publishing House. Thanks to my agent, Bucky, my summer job would be writing a book about my life as a dater. Here I am in my car at the post office before I sent my signed book contract back to Regal.

And finally, here I am tonight when I grabbed the mail on my way to the grocery store. Waiting for me in my little mail box was a puffy envelope with this little prize inside.

I honestly did not believe that this was going to happen until today when I finally got to hold my book in my own two hands. Crazy…and very exciting. Thanks for joining me for the ride! See you next week when I tell you about my trip to Scottsdale.
What an exciting moment! I am so proud of you.
So awesome, Megs! Congrats! I can’t wait to dive into my copy soon!
