MeganCarson.com happened by accident. Well, sort of. Some of you may remember a blog called “Blind Dates Worse Than Yours.” Yeah, that’s the one. (Yes, I lived it. And yes I am still in recovery. )
Well, apparently, unbeknownst to me, my blog decided it wanted to become a book when it grew up. I had no idea it wanted to be a book. I was only using it for cheap therapy, seeing it as a temporary salve for my lonesome soul. But, the blog had its own plans. And God had His own plans. So, in a series of events that can really only be explained as divine intervention, the blog blossomed into a book.
Instead of archives of posts, it has evolved into chapters of a 200 page paperback. It’s just about full-grown and will be making its debutant debut in 5 short months.
Its new name? A Year of Blind Dates: A Single Girl’s Search for The One.
Its new home? Amazon.com
However, just because that blog became a book, it has not forgotten it’s roots. It has received a mini-makeover and changed into MeganCarson.com. And since I am in need of some therapy yet again (just kidding…well, kinda), it will now be home to much more than stories about bad dates. There will still be some of that dating craziness but I will also reflect on dating in general, include observations from Single City (my current residence) and what I am learning in life.
Hello again, old friend. I’ve missed you.
This first post was: Perfection, Megan. I love how you write in a way that allows your readers to truly hear your voice. Which is why I was laughing throughout this post because your humor and cleverness and quick wit absolutely came through! I love everything about the fact that you have a new website…mainly because it means I get to read more of your writing on a consistent basis.
Much love.
Hey Megan:
This is so exciting! Am so proud of you. And happy that your dream is about to become a reality. Though, let me hasten to add that I am still hoping to get a wedding invitation before the book releases! Congratulations again and best wishes on your new career as a paid professional dating expert. Thrilled to have had a small part in that!
Genuinely.
