There are two single Christian men that people in my circles (work, church, mentoring relationships, family) have tried to set me up with on multiple occasions (read: 4 times each). In the case of both men, the matchmakers always approach me with such confidence that they have found the perfect match for me. I hate to see them completely deflate when I chuckle and say “no thanks…” and then explain with as much tact as possible that they are the fourth person to suggest I meet so and so. I have no idea if these two men know that others are trying to set us up, BUT both men know me personally and both are not interested…at least it seems that way.
It’s become comical.
And it’s a sign that I might need to widen my circles. Or wo-man up and just ask these men out.
At least they’re not your sister-in-law’s brother, right?!
So true, Lisa. So true!
